Karl-Heinz Rummenigge at 2009 Golden Foot

After the Brazilian legend Nilton Santos already announced among the 2009 legends, another great champion will be introduced on the Champions Promenade, former German striker Karl-Heinz Rummenigge will be awarded on September 21st in Monte Carlo with the 2009 Golden Foot for career, as one of the greatest footballer ever. The FC Bayern München deputy president is the second German to receive the prestigious career award after legendary Gerd Müller, another great goal scorer for National team and Bayern. Rummenigge played for FC Bayern München (1974-1984), FC Internazionale (1984-1987) e Servette FC (1987-89), always scoring as usual. He was Bundesliga top scorer three times (1980, 1981 and 1984), Champions’ Cup in 1983, Switzerland’s championship in 1989. “Kalle”, his nickname, was player of the year for West Germany in 1980, Ballon d’Or winner in 1981 and 1981 and two times World Cup runner-up (1982 and 1986) with his National team (95 caps, 45 goals) and won the European Championship in 1980. Another amazing champion is going to be in the Champions Promenade in Monte Carlo, the Walk of Fame of International football.
