The Golden Foot promoters, World Champions Club and Monaco Tourism Office, have nominated the Portuguese José Manuel Delgado as 2009 president of GOLDEN FOOT jury. Delgado, vice-editor of prestigious newspaper A Bola (GOLDEN FOOT media partner since the first edition in 2003), will represent the jury during the award day, planned for next Monday, and will also give the prize to the winner. 51-year-old, married and father of three sons, Delgado played professionally (from 1976 to 1989) and in his career he also wore historical SL Benfica shirt, when he won two Portoguese titles (1983 and 1984) and two national cups (1983 and 1985). Professional journalist since 1989, Delgado was present at three World Cups, four European Championships and one Copa América.
