Accompanied by his wife Maria Celia, the twice world champion with the Brazilian national team was touched with another homage to his life when he was told, through a letter sent by Golden Foots founder Antonio Caliendo, that his name would be in the Champions Promenade beside the greatest footballers ever. Its way more difficult to put my feet here than scoring a goal. Time passes, and its good to be remembered the Brazilian football master said. Globoesporte.com (media partner of the 2009 Golden Foot) was represented by Marcelo Monteiro, Breno Dines and Robinson Vasconcelos. President Mauricio Assumpção was there representing Botafogo FR. Luiz Augusto Veloso, former president of CR Flamengo, was also present at the clinic as Golden Foot delegate. The footprints of Nilton Santos, will soon be in Monaco where they will exposed on the seaside of the Principality, in the open air museum represented by the Champions Promenade, for the 2009 Golden Foot that will take place on next September, 21st. In December 2006, Golden Foot also visited another legend of international football that could not come to the event in Monte Carlo, the Hungarian Ferenc Puskás.
