Sami Hyypia will prolong his playing career by a further year after extending his contract with Bayer 04 Leverkusen until 2012. Leverkusen believe the Finn still has two good seasons left in him and general manager Wolfgang Holzhauser is delighted by the change of heart. "We are glad that such a key player and symbol of our team like Sami has been tied down to us for a longer term," he told the club's official website.
