Ronaldo de Assis Moreira became 29-year-old on March 21. This means Ronaldinho could be next Golden Foot winner. The AC Milan player is struggling to find his talent, which allowed him to become the 2004 and 2005 FIFA World Player of the Year and the 2005 European Footballer of the Year. Ronaldinho joined the Italian side after his last troubled season for FC Barcelona. For the Spanish giants he scored 95 goals in 207 matches, winning 2 La Liga titles, 2 Spanish Supercup and the 2006 Champions League. The Brazilian also won 2002 World Cup, 2005 Confederation Cup and 1999 Copa America playing for his national team (82 caps, 32 goals). His career began with Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense in 1998 and in 2001 he moved to Europe signing a five-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain. The French side helped him to become one of the most important players in Europe. Thats why in 2003 he was bought from FC Barcelona, who made him the brightest star of the team. By the end of the 2004-05 season, Ronaldinho started to accumulate a host of personal awards. He won the inaugural FIFPro World Player of the Year in September 2005 and being named the 2005 European Footballer of the Year. Also that year, Ronaldinho added to his collection a second FIFA World Player of the Year. On 19 November, Ronaldinho scored twice as Barcelona defeated Real Madrid 3-0 on the road in the first leg of Spanish El Clásico. After he sealed the match with his second goal, he received a standing ovation from the Madrid fans. FC Barcelona won Champions League on 17 May 2006 with a 2-1 victory over Arsenal FC. Two weeks earlier, Barcelona won also their second straight La Liga title. In July 2008, Ronaldinho turned down a £25.5 million offer from Manchester City to join Italian Serie A giants AC Milan on a three-year contract. He selected 80 as his jersey number, because 1980 was his birth year. Ronaldinho scored his first goal for Milan in a 1-0 derby victory over FC Internazionale.
